Mortgage Express celebrates over mx-online

mx-online has achieved over £1billion in applications since its launch in February last year and the website has had in excess of 12 million hits.

Charles Johnson, E-commerce Manager, Mortgage Express says: "Decisions in principle consistently come back within 30 seconds, and an independent survey by BDRC shows a staggering 93.2% satisfaction rate among brokers who use the service"

John Wade of brokers Minel Mortgage Placement says: "It's great to find an online service that actually delivers what it promises. I get virtually instant DIPs, I get to tell my clients what's happening to their applications in real time and I get access to some competitive deals. It has certainly made my life easier."

But Mortgage Express has never rested on its laurels, and over the last 12 months it has made a number of improvements to its online services. The site has been redesigned to make it more user-friendly, and it has introduced a new service - Intermediary Partners - for those who prefer to submit business through a mortgage club or network. This has gone down particularly well - brokers currently have access to 12 different networks.

And there's more to come. "We're keen to keep our business edge, so online service users can rest assured that we'll carry on improving", says Charles Johnson. "It's already a great service - the satisfaction survey bears that out - but we intend to make it even better. So keep logging on!"

Some interesting geographical data has also come to light:

Of the 4,000 plus mortgage advisers who have registered with mx-online and intermediary partners, those in the South West and the North are the most "switched on" - they submitted 11% and 21% of online business respectively

The South East saw the biggest jump in online application levels - a 98% increase over 12 months

Average property values for online applications range from £83,995 in the North West to £145, 214 in Greater London.
