Mortgage Business Expo announces 2008 show contents

MBE London will give delegates access to products from the UK’s leading lenders, banks, networks, clubs and building societies including Abbey for Intermediaries, Halifax, BM Solutions, Nationwide for Intermediaries, Bank of Scotland, Intelligent Finance, RBS, UCB Home Loans, Cheltenham & Gloucester, The Mortgage Works, Northern Rock, Platform, The Woolwich, Bristol & West, Alliance & Leicester, Standard Life and many more.

Amongst the new features at this year’s show is the 360 Degree Broker Zone, designed to help delegates provide a 360 degree service to their clients identifying all cross-selling and commission-earning opportunities. The 360 Degree Broker Zone will contain a dedicated theatre with provider and seminar sessions outlining the opportunities available for those looking to become a 360 degree broker.

There will be a dedicated seminar theatre with sessions organised by the Association of Mortgage Intermediaries (AMI) and the Association of Finance Brokers (AFB), sponsored by Cheval.

In addition to the AMI theatre, delegates will have the opportunity to visit the new Network Recruitment and Product Showcase Seminar Theatre and the Commercial Property Finance Theatre, in association with the National Association of Commercial Finance Brokers (NACFB).

Entry to the show is free and delegates can register to attend by visiting: www.mortgagebusinessexpo.co.uk.

Daniel Nwaokolo, MBE London 2008 Director, commented: “In what is undoubtedly a challenging time for all financial services professionals this year’s MBE London exhibition has been designed to help our delegates beat the Credit Crunch - learning new methods, accessing a comprehensive range of mortgage products and assessing new opportunities to develop their businesses. A key message is the need to maximise all cross-selling and commission opportunities which is why we have launched the 360 Degree Broker Zone with its accompanying Seminar Theatre. Sessions in the theatre will focus on discovering new revenue streams in Debt Management, Equity Release, General Insurance, Equity Release and Overseas Mortgages.

“Alongside this major new development are existing features including the AMI/AFB Seminar Theatre and the Commercial Property Finance Theatre from the NACFB. Each theatre will include industry experts delivering insight and advice on how to maximise the potential in the intermediary marketplace.

MBE London is all about putting intermediaries and advisers in contact with a wide variety of exhibitors active in a number of sectors. This year MBE London has over 140 exhibitors all looking to help steer delegates through the current market and provide new opportunities to help firms develop and grow their business. We look forward to bringing the financial services community together again at Earl’s Court 2 in November.”

Francis Mogg, Operational Director, Key Accounts at Northern Rock, said: “2008 is already being viewed by some as the year the financial world changed. The average person in the street needs professional advice now more than ever before. It is therefore crucial that intermediaries are well informed and their knowledge is bang up to date. We are delighted to support Mortgage Business Expo and to ensure that intermediaries will have access to our sales and service teams on the Northern Rock stand on the 12 and 13 November.”
