Mortgage brokers shift into top gear with First Active

The winners, donning racing suits and crash helmets, were treated to a day at the world famous Silverstone Race Track to test drive some of the fastest racing cars on the circuit. And if that wasn't enough, they drove home in style after First Active presented them all with a set of keys to a brand new Mercedes, which they will have the use of for the next two years.

The event saw the budding racing drivers test out the latest Audi TT 3.2 V6 DSG on the Southern F1 Test Circuit, reaching speeds of up to 130mph on the straight. They later put a Peugeot GTi through its paces on the rally track. But, the highlight of the day was burning rubber with a Formula First Lotus Elise single seater.

The three, who then drove off in the star prizes of the day - a Mercedes CLK Cabriolet - won a prize draw for those intermediaries who had sold a First Active mortgage product between June 14th and September 3rd. They included Neil Walker of Money Quest UK, Bryan Rose, an independent broker and David Noble of Life Style Mortgages.

First Active offers two low rate mortgages, a two year discount and a five year stepped mortgage. Both mortgages track the Bank of England (BoE) rate and carry competitive intermediary procurement fees.

Louis Kaszczak, First Active's national partnerships' manager said: "We thought that this promotion was a great way to generate some excitement surrounding the launch of First Active and our two new mortgage products. Everyone really enjoyed the day and will spend the next two years behind the wheel of one of the most desired cars on the road."
