moneysupermarket.com plans second building

- New online car hire and hotel comparison search engines to be launched -

- New recruitment drive to support growth -

The company moved from their Chester-based offices to St David's Park, Ewloe just over a year ago and is already planning an expansion to a second building which will be ready next year. Architects are currently designing the look of the new 12,000 sq ft office.

The expansion is planned in conjunction with an extensive recruitment drive as the company is gearing up to hire 200 more staff by 2006, predominantly in the IT sector. This is a result of increased investment in its highly innovative 'price comparison' search technology. The company recently launched a highly successful flight price comparison tool; this will shortly be followed by car hire and hotel price comparison tools.

Simon Nixon, chief executive of moneysupermarket.com Financial Group, said: "The group has been growing at such a phenomenal rate that our existing building will not be able to cope with the number of staff. The new building will be ready next year but we have already started recruiting IT professionals to cater for the success and demand that has been created by our new technological ventures."

Simon Nixon recently won the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year award for the North West region and is short-listed for national finals in October to be held at Grosvenor House Hotel, London.
