Momentum gathers as networks flesh out propositions

Genesis Home Loans, the branded lender and mortgage club, has announced its fee structure. AR firms will be charged an application fee of £100 and a monthly fee of £100 for up to three advisers. There will be a turnover charge of between 5 and 10 per cent.

Genesis will also offer packagers the option of becoming franchisees or licensees.

Freedom Finance Group, the mortgage and secured loans specialist, is to develop a full network support service for appointed representatives (ARs). It has recruited Stephen Atkins, previously compliance director for Mortgage Next, as managing director for its network services. The network expects to make further details available soon.

Optoma Broker Solutions have added three lenders to its packaged panel. They are Mortgage Express, TMB and Commercial First.

Optoma’s mortgage club has also added four lenders. These are the Coventry, Nottingham and Principality Building Societies and the Ahli United Bank, which provides Islamic mortgages.

Optoma InterPartners, the Principal company of Optoma Broker Solutions is planning a series of induction courses for ARs.

Meanwhile, Mortgage 2000 Financial Group’s independent mortgage network m2i has announced an extension on its offer to pay the final six months of MCCB registration and the initial FSA application fee for directly authorised brokers. The offer aims to save brokers £600.
