MBE visitors praise show

Around 65% said they had found the seminar sessions useful and 85% of visitors said they would recommend the Expo to their colleagues.

The results follow the announcement for the date of MBE Manchester which will take place on the 23rd May at the Lancashire County Cricket Ground.

So far over 40 exhibitors will be in attendance including lenders such as Accord, Aldermore, Nationwide for Intermediaries, Platform and Virgin Money.

There will also be a full day of seminar sessions by the Association of Mortgage Intermediaries. The Seminars will provide delegates with an array of advice and opinion on a variety of key issues facing the intermediary market.

The full list of sessions will be announced in the coming weeks.

James Prosser, MBE Manchester 2012 show director at Clarion Events, said: “Our survey results for MBE London last year show overwhelming positivity for the event from both visitors and exhibitors.

“This strength of feeling has allowed us to move to a bigger venue for the London exhibition in November when we will be taking MBE London to the ExCeL Arena.”

Prosser added that for now, however, Clarion’s focus was on the Manchester exhibition and it already had a significant number of exhibitors lined up plus a quality seminar programme put together by AMI.

He said: “We made the decision in 2011 to return to Manchester for a stand-alone show and we were not disappointed; we believe with the growing strength of the market and the industry it is important to offer those based in the North West an opportunity to network and benefit from the range of content Expo can offer.

“MBE Manchester will see exhibitors such as mainstream lenders, specialist lenders, GI firms, trade bodies, sourcing systems, technology firms, plus many more.

“The Financial Services Authority will also be attendance meaning delegates can gain answers to their regulatory questions from those in the know. We are looking forward once again to welcoming the industry to Manchester and it promises to be an even busier event than last year.”
