LSPR launches radio lead generation opportunity

The programme, expected to be called Your Money, will provide networks and individual intermediaries with a opportunity to raise awareness of their organisation and generate new business leads as interviewees will have their telephone number or web site mentioned on air.

Each week the programme will focus on a particular personal finance issue such as the benefits of remortgaging, how to build a buy-to-let portfolio, retirement planning or investment opportunities and appropriate intermediary experts or network representatives will be invited for a pre-recorded interview.

LSPR is handling the production and distribution of the programme. Interviewees will be charged £175 plus VAT for each station that runs the syndicated programme, in line with LSPR's no-nonsense payment-by-results approach to public relations. So far 25 stations have indicated that they would like to run the programme, but numbers could be higher by the September launch.

Mark Llewellyn-Slade, Managing Director, said: “What’s different about this opportunity is the way it combines reputation building with lead generation by positioning interviewees as experts in their respective fields. This combination should result in higher quality leads from people that choose to proactively contact the expert advisor. The listener will feel that they already have a relationship with the interviewee and will start to trust their views, especially if we are able to provide them with fairly regular interview slots. We will therefore need to be choosey about which intermediaries we invite onto the programme and will offer interview training.

We will be targeting networks, particularly those that already offer their members a post-code based lead generation service, as well as individual intermediaries. We believe that personal finance issues are not as thoroughly covered on radio as they could be and feedback from intermediaries suggests that radio is an effective way for them or their networks to raise awareness and build their businesses."
