Lime adds to GI facility

The support service offers all Tenet group members the option to introduce business to the qualified in-house advisers, ensure their client’s GI needs are serviced and earn a generous percentage of the commission produced.

LIME said the introducer process has been designed to be as user-friendly as possible and requires only a brief GI questionnaire to be completed.

LIME will then complete the full sales process based on either the full or limited panel as required and will ensure the client’s objectives have been met and a competitive quote is provided.

Amanda Waddington, general manager at LIME, commented: “From speaking to our members, we know this service will be well received and will offer an excellent opportunity for more advisers to be able to service their client’s GI needs.”

The panel comprises of household names including specialist and commercial providers with LIME stating this is a further step in supporting advisers to be able to offer a more holistic service, whether they choose to pursue a multi-distribution model or remain a specialist who is able to take advantage of a variety of complementary services.

Rod Murdison, proprietor of Murdison & Browning, said: “I suppose this service is something brokers ought to use but I’m not sure they would. When you go onto the sourcing systems a prompt will come up asking if you want to do building and contents and other insurances.

“But I find it hard to imagine that when you’re about to do the business you’ll actually say to the client that your specialist GI wing will get in touch to deal with it.”
