L&G announces business forum dates

The annual events are for Appointed Representative and Directly Authorised firms and take place in Manchester, London and Belfast. They offer attendees the chance to share best practice, understand the impact of regulatory activity on their business and learn how to maximize sales and maintain a compliant business.

Mark Screeton, national sales director, business partnerships at Legal & General said: “These forums are a great way for our business partners to see us face to face and for us to share best practice and outline our plans for the year ahead. We are holding breakout sessions for everyone from Principals to compliance contacts to help inform and educate. Participants will take away with them the up-to-date knowledge of one of the UK’s largest mortgage distribution networks.”

The Regional Business Forums are as follows:

o Manchester – 31 Jan

o London – 2 Feb

o Belfast – 6 Feb

Chris Cummings, director general of the Association of Mortgage Intermediaries (AMI), will be the industry guest speaker at each of the forums, where he will be discussing the challenges of mortgage regulation, the growing importance of mortgage intermediaries and giving his views on the future of the mortgage market.

Chris commented: “Legal & General’s regional business forums get a great turnout every year and I’m pleased to contribute. It’s important for a distributor of this size to reach out to its business partner firms and share its knowledge with the market.”
