Lenders ramp up broker support with new additions

Three property lenders – Hinckley & Rugby Building Society, United Trust Bank (UTB), and Together – have announced significant hires to bolster their broker support teams and expand their reach across key regions.

Hinckley & Rugby Building Society has appointed Nina Andrew (pictured above left) and Lauren Baylis (pictured above centre) as telephone business development managers (BDMs) in its intermediary team.

Andrew, previously a protection specialist and business support manager at the Mortgage Advice Bureau, offers over a decade of client relations and account management experience. Baylis, who formerly worked as a mortgage broker with Strike Financial Services and Purplebricks, brings a deep understanding of the mortgage process and customer needs. Their roles will focus on addressing broker queries, guiding applications, and promoting the mutual’s niche products.

Meanwhile, UTB has appointed a new BDM in Eleanor Russell-Blackburn (pictured above right) to lead its asset finance broker support in Scotland. The move, the bank said, aligns with its aim to establish a local presence and expand its footprint in the Scottish market.

Russell-Blackburn, who has previously worked with Shawbrook Bank and Haydock Finance, brings a wealth of experience in SME and commercial finance, as well as the Scottish asset finance market. Based in Tweeddale, her role will involve developing new and existing broker relationships and promoting UTB’s competitive offerings.

Cheadle-based lender Together has also expanded its intermediaries team with the appointment of three regional account managers (pictured below, from left to right): Katie Wilsher-Garratt, Chris Waind, Lois Ashcroft. The trio will work with brokers, packagers, and network partners to deliver solutions for complex cases across regulated and unregulated markets.

Wilsher-Garratt, with a career spanning senior roles at Shawbrook Bank and GE Money, will operate across the South. Waind, a specialist finance professional with 20 years in the industry, will focus on packaging partners in the North West. Ashcroft, who has a decade of experience in mortgages and bridging finance, will cover South Wales.
