Lenders' intermediary web site benchmark study launches

The Intermediary Websites Benchmark Study is the only survey in the UK that analysis how lenders and intermediaries use internet technology to speed-up the lending process. The study will also be the first to undertake detailed research into how intermediaries use technology and whom they believe provide the best online facility in terms of both case submissions and service.

Frank Eve Consulting Limited will also be reviewing lender responses to a written survey, interviewing lenders and evaluating the actual online processes that intermediaries complete.

This year’s study will also be expanded to include an intermediary research survey which will provide detailed information on how intermediaries are using web technology and who has the best practice web sites.

Frank Eve, managing director of Frank Eve Consulting Limited, says: “This years study will show the best practices that separate the leading lenders from the rest.

“Real-time (60 seconds) acceptance in principal (AIP) loan approvals, which are available at only a few lenders, have become a key differentiator.

“The intermediary Survey will be the first informed research into who is using the technology and how it’s valued by intermediaries.”

The Study will give lenders and the software vendors critical information to plan and prioritize IT spending for website enhancement.

Frank Eve adds: “Lenders need to know what functionality provides the best return on investment and increase Web site usage amongst intermediaries. We believe this Study is alone in providing that information in a clear format for mortgage market.”
