Leeds Building Society appoints operations and infrastructure director

Leeds Building Society has appointed Kate Erb (pictured) as director of operations and infrastructure.

Erb has over 20 years of experience in financial services, starting her career at Capital One after qualifying as a chartered accountant with KPMG. She has worked for organisations such as Coles Insurance in Australia, Oakbrook Finance, and start-up bank Aspinall Financial Services. She held the position of chief operating officer at Oakbrook and Aspinall.

Leeds believes that her knowledge in transformational change, operations, and resilience will further strengthen its senior transformation and operations team.

“She’s already proven that she is a highly engaged and versatile leader,” Rob Howse, chief operating officer at Leeds Building Society, remarked. “She will be at the heart of our exciting transformation agenda that will equip our colleagues with the technology and tools to deliver on our purpose all while continuing to strengthen our resilience. It is a pleasure to welcome Kate to the society.”

Commenting on her appointment, Erb said she was delighted to have joined the team at Leeds Building Society.

“In these first few weeks in role, as throughout the recruitment process, I have been thoroughly impressed with the culture, and the fact that the society’s purpose is truly at the heart of all activity,” she stated. “Everything we are doing is working towards the aim of putting homeownership within reach of more people, generation after generation. I am thrilled to be able to mobilise teams to deliver against that.”
