Key Asset Management appoints Dr Jaakko P Karki as Group Chief Investment Officer

In London, for over 12 years he held senior positions at a number of investment banks, including CSFB, CS, EBRD and ING Barings, being responsible for multi-manager MBS and FI Arbitrage investment programmes, proprietary trading, bond and derivatives trading and structuring, risk management, financial engineering and investment research. Previously, Dr Karki was Finance Professor and Economics Research Fellow at a number of universities in the USA, UK and Finland, most recently at the London Business School of the University of London, where he also received his PhD in Finance in 1984. Dr Karki also holds MPhil and MSc degrees and is a Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst charter holder. He has also been adviser and consultant to a large number of central banks, supranationals, insurance companies, pension funds and investment banks, since 1995 through his own advisory company. Prior to joining Key Asset Management, Dr Karki was Director and head of fund research at a London based fund of funds and an alternative investment management adviser to major financial institutions.
