Kensington appoints new group treasurer

Mark Wilten (37) was formerly an Executive Director at Rabobank International in Securitisation and WestLB in Asset Securitisation and Principal Finance. From its inception in 1998, Mark was responsible for the Kensington banking relationship while at WestLB. Prior to WestLB, Mark worked in the City since 1995 and in New York and Toronto since 1989 with Deutsche, and JP Morgan Chase.

Commenting on his appointment, John Maltby, Chief Executive of Kensington said, “We are delighted that Mark is joining as Group Treasurer. His extensive securitisation experience will aid our already successful RMS programme, and will assist us as we expand through the addition of new jurisdictions and distribution networks. His experience in acquisition finance will also assist our strategic development.”

Mark added, “I am very pleased to join Kensington. As my career now takes me out of the City, the dynamic nature of Kensington within its specialist market will mean that the requirement to be creative and focused regarding our funding alternatives is greater than ever. I look forward to making a real contribution toward bottom-line growth of the business.”

The appointment of Mark Wilten as Group Treasurer complements the recent announcements that Steve Colsell joins Kensington as Group Finance Director, from Zurich and Alison Hutchinson joins Kensington Mortgages as Managing Director, from Barclaycard.
