James Jardine adds up for estate agents

Estate Agents will be able to earn thousands of pounds in commission from the new company, called 'James Jardine', by using the service for their own clients.

More than 45 highly qualified FS consultants have been employed to handle enquiries via the telephone or over the internet, and the number is expected to rise to over 100 within a year.

Paul Smith, the Chief Executive of Spicerhaart, said: "We have recognised that with impending financial services legislation and estate agents commitment to the money laundering laws there is a requirement in the market to provide effective independent mortgage advice to estate agency customers. Now they will be able to register their clients with James Jardine totally confidentially, and our advisers will be able to source the best and most suitable mortgage products available from our panel of lenders.

"It's fast, it's efficient, and we can ensure that all clients are vetted under the new European regulations to prevent money laundering, while keeping abreast of all other legal requirements, such as reckless offers."

Tony Reynolds, the Sales and Marketing Director of James Jardine which has its headquarters in Lincoln, added: "We can create a fantastic FS income for estate agents, irrespective of how big they are in their home town. This isn't based on how many houses they sell, but how many applicants they get. They don't have to scratch around with advisers but instead have access to 45 advisers, six days a week, 52 weeks a year."

Estate agents in larger conurbations such as Birmingham, Newcastle, Liverpool, Leeds, Manchester and Sheffield, have already shown a keen interest in the new service.

James Jardine already offers mortgages and other financial services to people registering with the Spicerhaart estate agencies - haart, Spicer McColl, Felicity J. Lord, Darlows and Bailys. If people haven't been able to see an adviser from sister company Mortgages Direct or if they enquire via any of the Spicerhaart websites they are contacted directly by a mortgage consultant from James Jardine. In the first month more than 10,000 homebuyers spoke to the new operation for their mortgage requirements.

The new Mortgage Contact Centre is also approaching Independent Financial Advisers to offer the exclusive James Jardine mortgage sourcing service, to enable them to get their clients the best mortgage for their needs.

Legal and conveyancing services will also be offered to their clients in the New Year.
