CAB criticises deposit scheme delay

The delay of the launch of the tenancy deposit scheme until April 2007 has been met with disappointment by the Citizens Advice Bureau (CAB).

It believes the reform is urgently needed, with one-in-five tenants having problems with deposits being unreasonably withheld. But the charity said the remaining time must be used effectively to make all tenants and landlords aware of the changes and their new rights and responsibilities.

InterBay offers NACFB membership

Interbay is to offer commercial brokers free membership of the National Association of Commercial Finance Brokers (NACFB). Any broker who closes an InterBay mortgage within the next 12 months will qualify for free associate membership with the NACFB. The move is designed to encourage unregulated brokers to register.
