Bank of Scotland Mortgages’ managing director, Charles Haresnape, has launched a blog on the company’s website.

The blog allows intermediaries to express their opinions about the self-employed market. Independent research will also be accessible online to encourage people to review the document and then participate in the web discussion. The blog can be accessed at www.bankofscotland.co.uk/intermediary

Openwork and NU join forces

Openwork has teamed up with Norwich Union to offer access to its equity release products.

The scheme will operate on a lead referral basis giving Openwork clients access to face-to-face advice from Norwich Union’s equity release specialists. Openwork advisers will be able to introduce their clients to Norwich Union or Openwork Market Solutions.

Pink adds Future to panel

Pink Home Loans has added Future Mortgages to its packaged lender panel.

Future offers a complete line of products from 100 per cent and prime deals, to non-conforming. Along with the lender’s products, Pink Home Loans will also have an on-site underwriter. From 23 October 2006 until the end of December 2006, Pink will waive the valuation fee on any non-conforming Future mortgage.
