Securing the Intermediary Mortgage Market, the last of which will be worked on in conjunction with the Association of Mortgage Intermediaries (AMI).

More information on these areas will be published by IMLA over the course of the coming year with the initial stages of investigation revolving around intermediary and IMLA member research.

IMLA has also announced three new lenders have joined the organisation. These are Bank of Scotland, Halifax plc and Rooftop Mortgages. This brings total membership of IMLA to 32.

Following the retirement of Tim Dawson, IMLA has appointed Godfrey Blight, Managing Director, Sales & Marketing GMAC-RFC, as a director of IMLA and he has taken up his position on the Management Committee.

Guy Batchelor, IMLA Chairman, commented: “2006 is going to be another very challenging year for the intermediary mortgage market and these areas were identified by us as having the most potential impact over the coming year and into 2007. We now have over 30 lenders operating in the intermediary market, IMLA is in a stronger position than ever to investigate, lobby and inform, lenders, regulators and intermediaries.”
