Godfrey Blight, chairman of IMLA, said, “This is new ground for the mortgage industry. Now, more than at any time, it’s important to have a strong, united voice representing the views of all intermediary lenders - banks, building societies and specialist lenders - as a key component of the market place. The coming year presents difficult challenges for all mortgage lenders - IMLA looks forward to welcoming new members from across the mortgage market, and to working jointly with the government, Bank of England and FSA to champion their interests.”

“I’m very pleased to welcome Tony Ward back onto the IMLA board. Tony brings with him a strong background in banking and finance spanning over 30 years. His expertise in the intermediary lending sector is a welcome addition to the IMLA board. I would also like to take this opportunity to thank Paul Howard for his contribution to IMLA; he has been a valued member of the board.”
