ifs announces rebrand

The name has been chosen to be more representative of the ifs as it develops its financial education provision, both for the industry, and for consumers as an essential life skill.

“For customers of our popular regulatory qualifications such as the Certificate in Mortgage Advice and Practice (CeMAP), it will be business as usual,” says Mark Roberts, head of financial regulation, corporate & academic relationship management. “Students will start to see new branding appear on their materials, but the content of their programmes will not be changed. Our website address and telephone numbers remain the same.”

The introduction of the name is part of the ifs’ strategic ambition to gain degree-awarding powers.

Gavin Shreeve, chief executive, commented: “This is an exciting milestone in the ongoing development of the ifs as a fully-fledged educational body dedicated to financial learning. Indeed, we are now uniquely placed in the educational sector to continue to build a specialist offering that spans financial education from GCSE level through to taught Master's.”
