Hometrack acquires GIS provider

Established 15 years ago, SIA has been providing GIS solutions to a range of sectors from housing to local government.

David Catt, Hometrack’s COO, explained: "This acquisition is a perfect fit for Hometrack with real product synergies which are of mutual benefit to both sets of clients. The system comprises a sophisticated mapping model which is capable of graphically highlighting a wide range of market analysis including house prices, local area demand profiling and private sector rents.

"There is an increasing need for decision makers within the housing and property related sectors to be equipped with the best market intelligence to remain competitive. SIA Limited’s new generation of data-enriched and GIS-enabled products will ensure our clients can view detailed property and land information through the most effective interface."

Nasser Elaheebocus, director of SIA, commented: "The partnership will ensure that clients benefit from increased investment and that our products will remain at the very forefront of innovation."

SIA Limited, although a part of Hometrack, will operate as a stand alone subsidiary.
