Hinckley & Rugby boosts team to speed up mortgages

The expansion sees four new mortgage services assistants in the team, taking its headcount to a dozen. The new arrivals include three people joining the society and one internal move from a branch.

Hinckley & Rugby business development manager Carolyn Thornley-Yates, who leads the society’s dedicated introducer team, said: “We have taken on extra staff to cope with an increasing pipeline of mortgage applications in recent months and in anticipation of further growth during 2013 and 2014.

“Getting a quick decision and then brisk processing of an application helps buyers and introducers alike. With our newly enlarged team we are working on applications immediately after receipt and there are no backlogs at application and offer stage.

“Whilst not compromising on the thoroughness of our processes, or our commitment to a personal service, we are keen to accelerate how long it can take to move a Hinckley & Rugby mortgage from decision in principle to completed advance.”

The new arrivals at Hinckley & Rugby are Fiona Grewcock, who joins from HSBC, Andy Hoare and Lauren Page. The staff member joining from the branch network is Abi Johnson, who has worked for the society since 2006 and has previously spent time on secondment to the mortgage processing team.
