HEA appoints LMS as HIPs provider

Halifax Estate Agents will offer the service from its 330 branches when HIPs become mandatory in June this year. The three year contract for LMS as preferred supplier follows a recent tender process.

LMS is creating a tailor made service for HEA which will enable customers to order HEA-branded HIPs online from branches using LMS' technology, data gathering and management systems for fast turnaround.

Paul Offley, HIP programme manager at Halifax Estate Agents, said: “We have appointed LMS as HEA HIP provider as part of our preparations for HIP implementation in June 2007. We will be working closely with LMS to develop our HIP capability to ensure customers receive the high quality service they have come to expect from Halifax Estate Agents.”

Andy Knee, managing director of LMS, said: “We are very proud to have been appointed by Halifax Estate Agents as its preferred supplier of Home Information Packs. Our appointment follows a comprehensive assessment by Halifax of the main suppliers of HIPs services in the market, and it clearly demonstrates that the major investments we have made in developing our robust systems have been well founded.

“This appointment, together with our appointment as the preferred supplier of HIPs to the National Association of Estate Agents, confirms LMS’s position as the leading provider of HIP services to the property sector. We are very excited about working with Halifax Estate Agents and are really looking forward to helping all its branches to provide fast, accurate and high quality HIPs to their customers.

"The Halifax decision is expected to be the first of many important wins for LMS that will consolidate our leadership in the HIP arena."
