In the Budget Report, the Chancellor identified the important role lenders have in introducing 'green finance' products to help customers reduce their impact on the environment. HBOS will play a full part in helping to improve the availability of these products.
Peter Jackson, head of products at HBOS, said:
"We welcome the Chancellor's comments about the Government's climate change agenda. Green finance is clearly an area where lenders can play an important part. We will launch a green mortgage next year."
