Hampden & Co names head of client proposition

British private bank Hampden & Co has announced the appointment of Claire Mann (pictured) to the newly created role of head of client proposition.

Mann will spearhead the bank’s client relationship management (CRM) programme, and will report directly to Andrew Bell, the bank’s chief commercial officer.

Formerly a senior operations and programme manager at Handelsbanken, Mann was responsible for designing, implementing, and managing CRM initiatives. Her career also includes senior operational and CRM roles at NatWest, KPMG, and HSBC.

In its first half 2023 results released in August, Hampden & Co reported an 8% increase in client numbers to more than 5,000, along with a notable surge in referrals from professional partners.

Aligned with the mounting client demand, Hampden & Co has consistently expanded its banking, senior management, and support teams throughout the year. Key additions include Mark Plummer, who joined as head of private banking in London, and John Glanville and Patrick Preece, who joined as banking directors.

“Hampden & Co is seeing strong client growth through its relationship-based approach and a clear vision of how to continue providing exceptional levels of service as this growth continues,” Mann commented. “I very much look forward to enhancing the bank’s client relationship management capabilities and driving growth through even more compelling relationships.”

Commenting on Mann’s appointment, Bell said the bank was delighted to welcome her to the Hampden & Co team.

“She brings an extensive knowledge of private banking and a proven ability to develop compelling client propositions,” he explained. “This appointment reflects our continued commitment to the quality of the experience we deliver for our clients.”
