Halifax publishes broker mag

XQ is one of the initiatives from Halifax designed to improve communications with brokers.

Edited by managing director Jack Saxton, highlights of the first issue include a guest piece by Paul Shearman, mortgage proposition director at Openwork, who puts Mark Heaton, head of mortgages, through his paces in XQ's head-to-head feature.

Other business news comes from Halifax General Insurance. Jon Craven, who heads up the General Insurance division of Halifax Intermediaries, provides an update on some new insurance deals designed for the intermediary channel. There's also a piece detailing how, and why, Halifax launches the products it does.
