GWOL launches international website

A one-stop-shop for mortgage intermediaries and direct clients, the site is a tool for anyone involved in the overseas market.

Intermediaries can instruct GWOL to act on overseas conveyancing at the touch of a button and can also access other specialist international services such as finance, currency exchange, tax advice and property sourcing solutions.

Partnerships have been forged with a range of companies offering related services with links to each of these on the GWOL website. They include Conti Financial Services Ltd, The 4less Group, Mortgages 4 You, Money Corp, Bulgarian HomeLoans, findaplaceabroad.com and Blevins Franks. All offer exclusive deals as well as referral fees so there are many incentives for intermediaries to log on.

Additional benefits of the site include a broker pack which can be downloaded straight from the site and monthly features focusing on topics of interest relevant to each of the core countries where GWOL has panel representation – France, Spain, Portugal, Italy, Greece, Cyprus, Turkey, Bulgaria and Cape Verde. Dubai will also be added to the portfolio next month.

The GWOL freephone number, 0845 450 0202, is also displayed on the homepage so that, when an instruction goes ahead, intermediaries and direct customers of the service can speak to their international lawyer free of charge. All the conveyancing companies with whom GWOL works offer English-speaking lawyers and have a proven track record within their field of expertise.

Nia Jones, international services manager at GWOL, said: “Our newly launched site makes it easier than ever for intermediaries to access our overseas service. Expert advice and reliable service are crucial to avoid the pitfalls that can occur when buying a home in a foreign country and GWOL is keen to ensure that interested parties have the right facts and a quality service at their fingertips.”

Edward Goldsmith, senior partner at Goldsmith Williams, added: “We have carried out extensive research and identified a clear gap in the overseas conveyancing market. Local knowledge and a high standard of service are key elements of GWOL’s proposition. The international service is designed with both the client and intermediary in mind. GWOL aims to provide a level of quality service for the overseas market to match that of Goldsmith Williams’ service in the UK.”
