GWOL launches international website

The website looks to provide intermediaries with tools to help do business in this often complex and highly specialised market. As well as offering conveyancing on international mortgages, it also provides other services, including currency exchange, tax advice and property sourcing solutions.

Nia Jones, international services manager at GWOL, commented: “Our newly launched site makes it easier than ever for intermediaries to access our overseas service. Expert advice and reliable service are crucial to avoid the pitfalls that can occur when buying a home in a foreign country and GWOL is keen to ensure that interested parties have the right facts and figures and a quality service right at their fingertips.”

The GWOL proposition offers services in countries where it already has panel representation, including Spain, Portugal, Italy, Greece, Cyprus, Turkey, Bulgaria and Cape Verde. GWOL is also planning to launch a service for Dubai in the next month.

The conveyancer has agreed partnerships with a number of specialist firms who deal with overseas mortgages, including Conti Financial Services Ltd, The 4less Group, Mortgages 4 You, Money Corp, Bulgarian HomeLoans, findaplaceabroad.com and Blevins Franks.

Mike Fitzgerald, sales director at Brentchase Financial Services, said: “We deal with Goldsmith Williams a lot and its ex-pat service is very good. Also, it is open in the evenings which helps when you’re dealing with overseas as there can be a time difference.”

He added: “The only thing with overseas mortgages is that the legal side can get a bit delayed. It had to be one of the big boys who took this up and Goldsmith Williams has the systems in place to make it work.”
