GMAC-RFC announces new CIO and head of asset sales

The creation of a CIO position is one of several proactive steps GMAC-RFC is making to deliver technology solutions that enable continued growth in the residential lending market. Mike Brakes will be responsible for delivery of the IT strategy across all of GMAC-RFC's UK businesses. Mike has an extensive and impressive background as an IT professional; his previous position was as Managing Director/Deputy Chief Information Officer at Aon Limited, where he spent seven years.

Robert Appel, Chief Executive Officer, GMAC-RFC, commented, "I am delighted to welcome Mike to his new role as Chief Information Officer. This is a board level position that has been created to ensure that our technology enables customers to experience high quality service with ease and consistency as we expand our business."

The new Head of Asset Sales, Craig Beresford,joined GMAC-RFC in January 2003 as an Asset Sales Manager. Prior to joining GMAC-RFC he worked for Britannia Treasury Services (part of the Britannia Building Society Group) and has five years experience in Capital Markets and eight years experience in the mortgage industry (Asset Sales, Securitisation and Treasury). Appel continued, " We are also extremely pleased to announce Craig's promotion to Head of Asset Sales. As we expand our portfolio sales programme, I am delighted to have Craig's experience and market knowledge in this key leadership role."
