GMAC adds to team

Julie Gaskin, Barry McGuire and Emily Bosley all joined the Marketing Team earlier this month. GMAC-RFC has experienced massive growth over 2006, outgrowing the market four fold. These three appointments now bring the Marketing Team up to a total of just over 40 people.

Julie Gaskin takes on a new role of Corporate Relations Manager and will hold responsibility for GMAC-RFC’s PR and public policy activity and will report to Jeff Knight, Director of Marketing. Julie was previously Corporate Accounts Manager at GMAC-RFC where she worked closely with some of the major Corporate Account partners, including Legal & General and Sesame. She has worked in the mortgage industry for almost 10 years and has previously worked as a broker.

Jeff Knight, Director of Marketing, commented: “Julie has been instrumental in building up the relationships with our key players working at not only the corporate level, but also with brokers. We wanted someone who had a good understanding of the mortgage market and who had previously been a mortgage broker themselves. Julie brings with her a host of experience and ideas to our award winning marketing department and of course has a handle on our clients’ requirements together with the competition.”

Julie Gaskin, Corporate Relations Manager, said: “Working at GMAC-RFC has been fantastic for me and has presented many challenges and opportunities that have kept me motivated to do well. To be honest, I would not want to work for any other lender and I know from speaking with other industry bodies and competitors that GMAC-RFC is seen as 'The' lender to work for. I'm looking forward to building new relationships and working towards delivering our business objectives and taking our achievements even further.”

Barry McGuire joins as New Product Development Manager and will play a key role in delivering on GMAC-RFC’s commitment to innovation, and will focus on developing new products to satisfy the needs of this dynamic and competitive market. Barry has spent a significant number of years in the marketing industry and has previously worked for Standard and ABSA Banks.

Emily Bosley joins as Marketing Services Manager. Her core responsibilities will be to work closely with the Intermediary and Partners Sales Teams to support and deliver key objectives for 2007 by maintaining and enhancing the GMAC-RFC brand. Emily has brought with her a wealth of marketing knowledge previously working for Platform where she was Marketing Communications Manager and before that she worked for Network Data Limited.

Knight added “These appointments represent a wider expansion of the business to help us build on last year’s success. All three will play an instrumental role in achieving our business goals and I look forward to working with each of them.”
