GHL strengthens placement team

The appointments are a response to the success of its online Decision In Principle (DIP) service.

With a rapid increase in the number of DIPs received over the past few months, this latest recruitment programme was considered a priority in providing the resources required to meet the current demand, as well as the need to maintain high standards of service in processing the DIPs quickly and efficiently.

Based at the Maidstone office, the experienced employees will join the existing team in sourcing and placing cases for both Appointed Representatives (ARs) and Directly Authorised (DAs) brokers.

Launched last year, the DIP service gives brokers the facility to submit their mortgage enquiries online to be dealt with by a highly experienced team able to select from a panel of 16 packaged and branded lenders.

Additionally, the facility offers users a turnaround time of four hours. From receipt and once completed, the DIP Response provides the broker with up to three options along with a packaging list, which requests the documentation required for the lenders recommended.

John Smith, sales & marketing director at GHL Group, said: “We are delighted with the number of brokers using our DIP service, and by employing two additional members of staff we are in a position to not only deal with the current volumes we are receiving, but also the levels we anticipate we will be receiving in the future.

"Our DIP facility has proved highly popular and this is undoubtedly down to a simple DIP form covering 16 lenders as well as the time it saves those who use it. A further factor in its success is the placement team staff whose skills and experience provide an invaluable service dealing with the DIPs so effectively.”
