GE boosts regional presence

Sally Cooper and Sandy Webster have been appointed as business development managers for GE Home Lending and will work across both the First National and igroup brands.

Sally and Sandy will be responsible for building on existing customer relationships and specifically developing new business opportunities across the regions. Their experience in these areas will enable them to provide tailored, hands-on support to existing and new intermediaries. Sally, who is responsible for the South West area, reports into Phil Moynihan, First National sales manager for the South. Sandy operates in Scotland and Northern Ireland, reporting into Judith White, national sales manager, First National.

Sally Cooper previously worked for the Spicerhaart Group as a field sales manger with Mortgages Direct. She said: "I'm looking forward to working directly with our brokers and branded lending partners to ensure GE Home Lending's high standard of customer service is met and exceeded in the South West. There is a huge amount of potential for growth in the South West and I am really excited about developing this area for the business."

Sandy Webster was formerly a business development manager at Future Mortgages, where for two years he was responsible for Scotland and Northern Ireland. Prior to this he worked in the same countries as a sales manager for Cater Allen Private Bank. He commented: "My priority is to grow the business in Scotland and Northern Ireland, developing new products and fostering relationships with brokers across the regions. My aim is to ensure that the all intermediaries in different areas receive the same level of excellent service and support."

Judith White, national sales manager, First National, said: "These two appointments are an important step forward for GE Home Lending, growing and strengthening our reach in the regions. We are committed to our intermediaries across the UK. Driving business and providing high calibre products and services is our key objective and to do this, we need a strong and knowledgeable team. I've no doubt that Sally and Sandy will be valuable additions to the sales units and we welcome them to the business."
