Gatehouse Bank gets Moody's investment grade rating

Credit rating agency Moody’s Investor Service has assigned Gatehouse Bank an investment grade credit rating of Baa3 BCA with a long-term stable outlook.

The bank said this is the first credit rating that it has received, with Moody’s citing a number of factors in support of its decision, including its role as a growing, leading Islamic compliant bank in the UK, solid capital base, and good liquidity profile.

“The rating from Moody’s Investor Service reflects the strength of the bank and our growth over the last five years,” Charles Haresnape, chief executive at Gatehouse Bank, said. “The investment rating demonstrates confidence in the bank’s vision to continue to progress and provide innovative, ethical products to help customers realise their financial goals.

“We are delighted to have received this recognition which is a testament to the hard work of our growing team and further supports our credibility in the UK banking market.”

Based in London, Gatehouse Bank is a Shariah-compliant challenger bank and is part of the Gatehouse Financial group of companies.
