FSA seeks new chief executive

He said: “By the time I leave in July, I will have spent six years at the FSA, almost four of them as chief executive. The job has been immensely enjoyable and it has been a privilege to lead this organisation and its excellent people. This seems to me to be the right time to pass on the baton, with the FSA set firmly on the road to more principles-based

regulation.”

Halifax reveals property increases

Halifax has reported that no county has an average house price below £100,000. The Halifax report revealed 19 counties now have average house prices above £200,000, compared to one county, Surrey, five years ago. Merthyr Tydfil recorded the largest house price rise, with a 175 per cent property gain over five years, with Hampshire and Wiltshire recording the lowest house price growth over five years, at 41 per cent growth.
