Free equity release forums unveiled

Aimed to help advisers grow their business, the half-day seminars will commencing in Bristol on 26 September and end in Leeds on 28 November. They will provide advisers with practical tools and information to start generating Equity Release leads immediately.

The content will cover understanding the customer base, as well as providing advisers with practical tips on how to generate leads using direct mail, advertising, events and by creating an online presence. In addition the seminars will identify best practice sales process and ways of improving sales conversion.

Jayne Almond, chief executive of Stonehaven said: “Although 6,000 advisers are qualified to advise on equity release, feedback suggests that the majority have limited idea of how to market to the over 55s and generate leads. They have the qualifications and they have the enthusiasm, but they don’t know how to get started.”

Peter Couch, managing director of Bridgewater added: “We are absolutely committed to growing this market and have put together a line up of highly experienced senior executives to share their knowledge with the industry, at no charge. Advisers who are serious about extending their equity release business should register their place today to avoid disappointment.”

Andrew Megson, sales director of Just Retirement concluded: “We believe there is a significant number of qualified advisers within the market who have an interest in growing their Equity Release business further. We are convinced we can speak to a high proportion of these advisers through these seminars by the end of 2007”.

Interested advisers can now register online at www.ermf.co.uk on a first come first served basis. There is capacity for up to 40 advisers in each session.
