FMO launches into Scotland

FMO Scotland has been established to offer a dedicated service to mortgage intermediaries in Scotland. The lending panel will include both specialist and mainstream lenders. Secured loans and commercial lending facilities will also be available.

Kevin Friend, sales and marketing director of emfinance.com, the UK’s first online mortgage brokerage and former business development director at The Mortgage Operation has been appointed managing director.

FMO Scotland will be opening its operations centre in Glasgow early in 2004, it continues to recruit experienced industry personnel to accommodate its plans.

First Mortgage Options (FMO) the Northwich-based parent company, currently packages for 12 lenders with 35 on its direct panel, agreements with various lenders have been made to offer their products in Scotland.

FMO Scotland has attracted a number of potential partners who will compliment its offering. Details of one particular partnership will be announced prior to Christmas.

The recent appointment of an experienced Director of compliance to the FMO group will ensure that whatever advice mortgage intermediaries need prior to regulation, will be on hand, they will receive both support and guidance.
