First National appoints new national sales manager

Simon, 32, who joined First National as part of the Lombard group in 1995, previously headed up the company’s secured loans sales team, prior to which he was a member of its motor finance division.

As national sales manager Simon, a graduate in Business Studies with experience of IT and advertising sales, heads up a team of two sales managers and six sales consultants liaising with First National’s dedicated network of brokers and IFAs throughout the UK.

Simon said: “ Historically First National is a big player in the non-conforming residential mortgage arena, due to qualities such as its innovation, commitment and an approach that signals to both brokers and end users that we are on their side.

“ First National’s task now, as a part of GE Consumer Finance, is to ensure that we become the intermediary’s first choice for first mortgages. The key to that is to listen to our customers, and learn from them what they want us to do. First National’s national sales team is in the front line of that commitment.”
