First letting agents awarded new ARLA qualification

The successful candidates who received their level 4 certificates were Nicola Blake, Belinda Bracegirdle, Jane Gardner, Sue Maaz, Jane Smith, Sian Taylor, Allison Turner, Andrew Bald and Lerri Calligher.

The Association of Residential Lettings Agents’ Level 4 Certificate, which takes 280 hours of study, was introduced in November 2011 and builds on a foundation of certificates with the aim to raise standards of professionalism in residential lettings.

Ian Potter, managing director of ARLA, said: “Professional qualifications are integral to many industries and sectors.

“They help provide employees with industry-specific skills and demonstrate a commitment to training and career development."

Potter said in today's competitive employment market professional qualifications can make the certificate holder stand out from the crowd.

He added: “For the consumer these kinds of qualifications help reinforce that ARLA member letting agents are dedicated, trained professionals.”
