First Complete returns to profit

The appointed representative network also increased the number of its protection proposals by 108% over the year.

First Complete was launched in May 2010 after taking over the business of Home of Choice which included just under 500 appointed representative advisers.

Following its first birthday, First Complete assessed its progress comparing year on year results for May, June and July where both business levels and profitability increased.

The LSL-owned network attributed a significant proportion of the growth to workshops held throughout the year aimed at equipping advisers to deal with demands of the marketplace.

Jon Round, chief executive at First Complete, said: “Despite challenging conditions we have had a very positive first full year and I am delighted with the progress of the business during this period. We have grown both organically and by acquisition during this period, and we are well placed to build on this success over the coming months.

“We have seen an increasing number of businesses wishing to join us over the course of this year as a result of both our financial stability and the extensive package of support we provide. We help our members prosper by providing both tailored support and bespoke business development - remembering that we are only successful if our members are, has been a major factor in the progress of our business over the year.”
