Bank of England, MT Finance, West Brom, and Just Mortgages bolster teams

Several financial institutions in the UK have announced key appointments, reflecting ongoing investment in talent and strategic growth across the sector.
The Bank of England has appointed Sarah John (pictured far left), currently the bank’s chief cashier, as its new chief operating officer.
She will replace Ben Stimson, who is departing to become Chief Executive Officer of Southern Coop. Victoria Cleland, the bank’s executive director for payments, will take over John’s role as chief cashier while retaining her current responsibilities.
Specialist lender MT Finance has promoted Raphael Benggio (pictured second from left) to director of bridging, expanding his oversight within the company’s bridging finance division.
Benggio, formerly head of lending - bridging finance, has nearly a decade of experience in the specialist finance industry. His promotion is part of MT Finance’s strategy to strengthen its market position in the competitive bridging finance sector.
Meanwhile, West Brom Building Society has expanded its intermediary team with new appointments to enhance its broker support services. James O’Donnell (pictured second from right) has been named business development manager (BDM) for the Southeast, bringing over 17 years of financial services experience, including roles as a broker and BDM.
The mutual has also introduced two new telephone business development manager roles, filled by Kandis Grant and Anisha Banger, both of whom have experience within West Brom’s intermediary support team.
Over at Just Mortgages, the firm’s employed division received a boost with the appointment of Sandie Lear (pictured far right) as divisional sales director for the Metro region.
Lear, who has more than 20 years of experience in the mortgage and financial services sectors, will oversee mortgage advisers across 21 Haart estate agency branches in East London. She takes over from Andrew Lake, who will continue supporting Lear and other divisional sales directors in the region.
