Exweb client database hits 100,000

The client database was added to Exweb 18 months ago as part of a programme to improve the usability and value of the service. Hitting the 100,000 mark demonstrates an increasing trend by intermediaries to utilise e-transaction services and obtain the benefits of straight through processing.

The database enables intermediaries to enter data once that can then be automatically transferred into all quotation and new business submissions undertaken for the relevant client. This capability enhances the speed and ease of online new business submissions for intermediaries by enabling significantly greater pre-population of the electronic application process with client data for both electronic applications forms and via the provider’s extranet.

Matthew Timmins, marketing director at Simply Biz commented:

"The enhanced Exweb provides excellent back office functionality that is particularly useful for smaller to medium sized firms. Many firms are currently operating without any back office system and are therefore failing to keep accurate records and demonstrate an effective disaster recovery provision. Achieving this milestone of 100,000 client records is testament to the quality of the Exweb product and the support provided to advisers by The Exchange.”

David Child, managing director at The Exchange, added:

“The client database is yet another example of how Exweb is being evolved and enhanced in line with the requirements of the marketplace. The level of take-up of the service fully endorses this strategy and demonstrates an increasing appreciation of the role of technology in facilitating new business.”
