Exeter Family Friendly launch IP adviser seminar

Exeter Family Friendly, the specialist mutual insurer, has launched an income protection seminar to help advisers who want income protection to become a crucial product in their business portfolio.

The award-winning provider has introduced content to the programme of seminars that have consistently attracted over 1,000 adviser delegates each year.

Mike O’Brien, head of intermediary sales, said: “It’s part of our DNA to support advisers and a key reason for our success over recent years. We know that income protection is an undersold product; but unlike many insurers we’re determined to help do something about it.”

The new seminar will focus on far more than the Exeter Family income protection proposition. Topics covered include the potential size of the market, ongoing welfare reform, the sales process and tackling objections together with lead generation tips and ideas.

O’Brien added: “We know how popular these events can be. The advisers who attend really value the content, but also the smaller, more workshop type feel. We want the audience to engage and get involved, not grandstand a sales pitch in front of people.”

Seminars take place in a wide range of locations around the UK and all begin at 8.30, so advisers are free from 10.30 onwards to implement ideas immediately. As an added incentive, every adviser who attends a seminar will be added to a monthly draw to win an iPad. In addition, every adviser delegate will gain an hour’s CPD credit.
