Ecology unveils website

Visitors can browse through information on the building society’s ethical stance and environmental business practices, as well as detailed information on their range of ethical savings accounts and green mortgages.

New features include the ability to download application forms and Ecology literature. One of the most exciting additions to the site is the Ecology Interactive service. This online facility allows new and existing Ecology members to view details of their accounts including transactions, interest rates and balances. A facility to request transfers and withdrawals online will be available shortly.

Ecology Forums is another new departure, which will be live shortly. Here members are able to discuss Society issues such as mortgages, savings, the website and the AGM. Forums will also be created for discussion on Green Building issues, Environmental matters and useful Resources and Events. This facility was been requested by Ecology members and the Society can’t wait until it is available for them to use.

The website content on the Ecology’s range of specialist mortgage products has been increased considerable and now includes details of their Buy-to-Let, Small Woodland and Commercial mortgages. Further details on their well known residential mortgage for renovations, conversions and ecological new builds have also been added, telling visitors everything they need to know.

Paul Ellis, chief executive, said: “This is the first stage in a programme to increase accessibility for members and create an Ecology community on the web. The new site meets a number of requests from members and we are very pleased with the new look and feel”.
