E2M joins AMI

AMI acts as the voice of mortgage intermediary firms with over 17,000 mortgage professionals as members and uses its collective strength to lobby Treasury, FSA, Government, EU policy makers and other opinion formers to ensure a positive regulatory and business environment for members.

E2M provides conveyancing services and Home Information Packs (HIPS) to mortgage intermediaries. AMI’s recent Mortgage Intermediaries Census revealed that the vast majority of members (88 per cent) feel that sellers will approach estate agents first in order to arrange their HIPs. With HIPS due to become compulsory in June 2007, E2M is ideally placed to offer support to intermediary firms who wish to offer a HIP service as part of their proposition.

E2M are able to recommend conveyancing services with confidence.

Karen Babington, sales and marketing director of E2M, commented: “We are delighted to be joining AMI at such a critical time for the intermediary industry, and it is hoped our membership will strengthen AMI’s voice in the industry. With the introduction of Home Information Packs due in just over twelve months we hope we are better able to help intermediaries prepare themselves in good time.”

Rob Grifffiths, associate director of AMI, added: “In order to effectively represent mortgage intermediaries to policy makers at every level, we need the support of all parts of the mortgage sector. We are therefore delighted to welcome Easier2move as a new affiliate member of AMI.”
