Dragonfly reshuffles team

The bridging lender has made Matt Smith director of risk and recoveries and D’mitri Zaprzala head of sales.

Smith, who was Dragonfly’s first employee and has been with the lender since 2010, was head of credit and servicing before the promotion.

Zaprzala meanwhile joined the company as a business development manager in 2013.

Posniak said: “Matt joined Dragonfly in the very early days and has been integral to our success ever since.

“A lender is only as good as its loan decisions and Matt’s forensic understanding of, and nose for risk has protected Dragonfly from day one.

“He has been instrumental in shaping this business and allowing us to lend in the volumes we have.

“D’mitri has had a massive impact since his arrival and has helped develop the business internally and externally, with a particular focus on strengthening our introducer base.

“I have no doubt that both will play an even more important role moving forward.”

The two appointments are the first since Posniak took over as MD.

Smith said: “I’ve been fortunate to work with Dragonfly for over five years. Helping build it into the lender it is today has been a fantastic journey but it’s a journey that is far from finished and I am excited at the plans for the company in the weeks and months ahead.”

Zaprzala added: “My role since joining Dragonfly has been to develop the introducer base and generally spread the word, and as head of sales I’ll be doing much the same but with a far broader remit and even more responsibility.

“It’s a challenge I intend to get stuck into straightaway and hopefully take over from where Mark left off.”
