Dashboard and Goldsmith Williams launch trading initiative

As a result of this partnership, Dashboard Software users can submit instructions electronically to Goldsmith Williams at the click of a button. All of the information required by Goldsmith Williams to act is received and acknowledged by the conveyancing firm within seconds.

This initiative is based on a customer management and retention system, which allows intermediaries to conduct business efficiently in a market where customer service is key.

The technology used in the system will enable companies in the intermediary marketplace to streamline their sales and administration functions, reducing the time and overhead costs involved in mortgage processing.

Following a trial period, Dashboard Software and Goldsmith Williams have now launched the new system to the whole market and are confident that this initiative will prove very popular with firms looking to maximise their resources.

Both companies will be exhibiting at Mortgage Expo, where brokers will be able to find out more about the initiative. Goldsmith Williams will be at stand G32 and Dashboard Software will be at stand J52.

David Shortt, corporate services director at Goldsmith Williams commented: "All mortgage intermediaries are busier than ever, dealing with a larger number of clients and more transactions. This, coupled with additional compliance requirements, leads to more paperwork. Instant online access, instruction and case tracking will revolutionise the instruction process for intermediaries and will also provide brokers with a valuable additional revenue stream."

David adds: "We are delighted to be working with Dashboard Software in this partnership, which is just one of a number of initiatives we are involved in to facilitate electronic trading."

David Aylmer, joint managing director at Dashboard Software, adds "Our primary aim has always been to provide a user-friendly and cost-effective solution to meet the needs of the intermediary and packager markets. One of the main benefits of Dashboard is that it removes the constant need to re-key data. This integration with Goldsmith Williams is another example of our use of technology to drive businesses forward and increase productivity."

The system is already proving to be a great success with those customers who were involved in the system's trials. Phoenix Mortgage Services (UK) Ltd, a fast growing mortgage broker based in the South of England, now electronically instructs Goldsmith Williams for around 75% of its cases. Heather Crane, Processing Manager at Phoenix Mortgage Services, is very impressed with the new system and estimates that the electronic instruction saves 15 minutes a case, as they no longer have to fill in any additional forms.

Heather comments: "Not only does this eliminate the pain of having to manually fill in additional forms, but I know that Goldsmith Williams has definitely received the instruction on the same day. Processing delays are eliminated as the system also acknowledges receipt of the instruction. The new Dashboard link is so simple and, at the click of a button, has reduced paperwork, reduced form filling and saved time!"

Another company to trial the service is 2nd Mortgages Ltd, a remortgage specialist based in Birmingham, which has also seen a massive time saving. Managing director, John Maher, comments: "We now instruct Goldsmith Williams immediately through Dashboard without the need to fill out any forms. The reduced administration time and quicker instruction time leads to quicker completions times, thus our introducers and brokers get paid quicker. We also use the case tracking element of Dashboard Software to allow all our introducers and brokers to login and get up-to-the-minute case updates and information."
