Countrywide launches new build conveyancing team

The team includes lawyers and key account executives who act as the dedicated point of contact for the site office to ensure that deadlines are adhered to and the requirements of the developer and the purchasers are met.

Lawyers on the team will provide updates via a 24-hour website tracking facility, with text and e-mail updates on key stages.

Sue Spurgeon, chief operating officer at Countrywide Conveyancing Services, said: “The new homes market has changed radically in the past few years and has been provided a lifeline by the government with the various new build initiatives currently in place.

“We already work with many of the major housebuilders and new home buyers and one of the biggest frustrations is transactions not being completed on time.”

Spurgeon said the delicate nature of new build transactions made it ever more critical that chains were not broken because of completion delays and that exchange deadlines were met.

“Our new homes dedicated specialist case handlers work with both the builders and buyers to enable a thorough, yet swift completion of the conveyancing process to help ensure half year and year end targets are met, enabling developers to reinvest the money into future builds,” she added.

“Our specialist new build team’s working week complements that of the developers – operating seven days a week.”
