The Conveyancing Association has launched a course on property law and how to process straightforward transactions via its online training portal The Conveyancing Academy.

Paralegal course delegates work through 15 modules in order, taking them through a conveyancing transaction from land law and taking instructions, pre-contract enquiries and searches, exchange and completion and onto contractual delays and remedies.

Lloyd Davies, operations director at the Conveyancing Association, said: “Our aim is to ensure that delegates can work through the course in a variety of ways – it’s a fact of life that different people learn differently, which is why we have a range of online resources as well as downloadable documents that can take them through the course step by step.”

The course material has been assessed, edited and accredited by academic and practising experts and is accredited by the CA.

Delegates can train individually online or in trainer-led seminars with automatic online grading, certification and course-tracking facilities.

There are tasks to complete in each module in order to obtain a final certificate and grade. Materials and content include an online and interactive handbook, a downloadable handbook in Word, instructional videos and PowerPoint slides.

The course costs £210 per delegate for CA members and £299 for non-members, while there is a 10% discount for block purchases of 10 or more delegates.

Davies added: “The industry should expect further training course launches in the weeks ahead.”
