Collapse of network should be warning to brokers, says CETA

Back in December, the Financial Services Authority (FSA) was forced to issue a warning to 40,000 policyholders with household or buildings insurance with Tribune that replacement cover was needed urgently. The liquidators, PricewaterhouseCoopers (PWC) have introduced a helpline number for any queries: 0870 164 8120.

David Quick, managing director at CETA, said: “The collapse of Tribune illustrates how careful agents have to be when selecting a network. Unsustainable businesses with unrealistic commissions and premiums are bound to fail eventually. This can leave policyholders and agents out of pocket.”
