CML and BSA to go before Treasury

Anthony Browne, chief executive officer of the British Bankers' Association, Adrian Coles OBE, director general of the Building Societies Association and Paul Smee, director general of the Council of Mortgage Lenders will all give evidence tomorrow.

Macro-prudential tools are intended to be made available to the Bank of England's new Financial Policy Committee under the terms of the current Financial Services Bill.

The Treasury published its consultation on these proposals on the 18th September 2012.
